Logitech Pebble 2 Review

Logitech optimised its product set with a second-generation version, which we will discuss in our Logitech Pebble 2 Review. It still provides the same amount of performance but with some extra elements.

Pebble 2 gives us two products: the Pebble Keys 2 K380s and its Mouse 2 M350s. Logitech gives you plenty of elements to enjoy, such as sustainable materials, Smart Actions, Easy Shortcuts, etc.

In our Logitech Pebble 2 Review, we will look deeper into the product set. We will check their specifications, features, design, functions, and how these perform under varying conditions.

Logitech Pebble 2 Packaging

The Pebble 2 combo ships in a sturdy, thick cardboard box that houses the keyboard and mouse. Depending on your preferences, the package will sport the same colour as the products inside.

Logitech included the following items inside the box:

  • Pebble Mouse 2 M350s + a pre-installed alkaline battery (AA)
  • Pebble Keys 2 K380s keyboard + 2x pre-installed alkaline batteries (AAA)
  • Product information documentation
  • User documentation
  • Logi Bolt receiver

Logitech Pebble 2 Review – Design and Functionality

One of the most noticeable changes in the Pebble 2 products is that they are greener. What do we mean? Continue reading our Logitech Pebble 2 Review, and we will explain.

Generally, Logitech used more recycled plastic compared to the previous Pebble products. The Pebble Keys 2 is 49% recycled plastic, whereas the Pebble Mouse 2 is 58% of it. This combination results in more environment-friendly products to use.

The mouse and keyboard come in three colours: tonal sand, white, and graphite. These products are also lightweight, weighing only 415g and 76g (keyboard and mouse, respectively). We appreciate Logitech for the slimline design so the combo can neatly slip into your laptop sleeve.

You can switch keyboards using the first three function keys plus the ESC key. Holding the latter and any function keys will cause the LED light above the F-key to flash. From there, the slot will work in pairing mode.

Pebble Keys 2 K380s

The Pebble 2 boasts a minimalist aesthetic and sleek design, offering a slim, low-profile keyboard. It pairs with a mouse that exudes a timeless charm.

A notable addition is the set of Fn shortcut keys at the top. These provide swift access to various functions, including the following:

  • Search engines
  • Screen capture tool of your computer
  • Emoji menu, etc.

The Logi Options Plus app allows you to personalise the Fn set. It lets you assign frequently used desktop apps to a key for instant launch.

The product features ten customisable Fn keys plus silent laptop-like scissor keys. You can program the latter via the Options+ app from Logitech.

This keyboard can connect via the Logitech Bolt USB receiver or Bluetooth Low Energy. Logitech also includes the receiver when purchasing the Pebble 2 combo.

Pebble Mouse 2 M380s

We will also discuss the mouse in our Logitech Pebble 2 Review. Generally, its optimisations are similar to the keyboard since it also features the Silent Touch.

This element removes 90% of click noise, unlike the Logitech M186 wireless. Because of the quietness, the product is an excellent option for those working in environments like libraries and more.

The Pebble Mouse 2 M380s is more unorthodox than the classic office mice. It has a more sleek, flatter chassis, which is unusual for other users. If you often use chunky-bodied mice, you have to get used to this on the first use.

Despite its form, the mouse is comfortable to use, and it will not strain your hand.

Unlike its predecessor, this version sports a customisable central button you can program via the Options+ app. It allows you to assign actions like sending emojis, launching apps, etc.

Thanks to the app, you can better personalise the mouse than the original version. This product features a high-precision optical sensor with an adjustable DPI ranging from 400 to 400.

On the Pebble Mouse 2 M380s, you will find the button for changing/pairing devices at the base. One push cycles through the three spots while a long press activates pairing mode and fast flashing.

Key Features of the Logitech Pebble 2

Is the Pebble 2 excellent for working and studying? We will discuss its primary features to help you determine if the product meets your needs.

Designed for Charm and Uniqueness

The Pebble 2 Combo is a slim, minimalist keyboard and mouse set with a visually appealing design. Choose from three colour options: tonal white, rose, and graphite.

Made with Recycled Materials and an Attractive Design

Aside from the excellent design, Logitech ensures the responsible manufacture of products. The K380s keyboard comprises at least 49% recycled plastic, while the mouse has over 58%. In addition, the Pebble 2 Combo has multiple colours, allowing you to choose which suits your workplace.

Portable Design of the Logitech Pebble 2

The Pebble 2 is compact and lightweight, making it convenient to carry around when travelling. It is one of the features we loved when we tested the product for this  Logitech Pebble 2 Review.

Quick and Easy Device-hopping

Connect three devices to the Pebble 2 and switch between these with the Easy-Switch button. The mouse and keyboard work with many operating systems used in computers and smartphones.

Quiet Clicks and Key Presses with the Logitech Pebble 2

The Pebble 2 keeps the sounds of clicks and keypresses low, offering a familiar laptop-like experience. Logitech uses Silent Touch technology to reduce keyboard and mouse noise.

Fun Keyboard Shortcuts

The Pebble 2 K380s keyboard has shortcuts that allow instant access to search, screen capture, emoji menu, and more. It lets you work smarter since these keys help save more time for your convenience.

You can add shortcuts to your middle mouse button by accessing the settings on the Logi Options+ app. It is available on Windows and macOS.

Enjoy Your Options with the Updated Logi Options+

The Pebble 2 does more than click and type. You can customise the middle button of the M380s and the 10 F-row keys of the K380s via Logi Options+. We used the app while testing the product for this Logitech Pebble 2 Review, and we enjoyed its user-friendly interface.

Lasts Longer

The pre-installed batteries in the Pebble 2 are long-lasting to keep you worry-free. Of course, this may vary depending on the user and their computing conditions.

The K380s keyboard can last up to three years, 50% longer than the original K380. The M380s mouse can last up to two years.

Hands-on with the Logitech Pebble 2

We used the Pebble 2 for a week to see how well the mouse and keyboard work. After gathering details about how it worked, we will share information about it in our Logitech Pebble 2 Review.

The keys of the K380s were quiet and responsive. We loved our typing experience with it since the keys have a grooved indentation that felt nice to the touch. Each keystroke was super silent, perfect for quiet spaces for working or studying.

The Bluetooth connectivity offered a seamless wireless connection to all three devices we connected. We also did not have issues with it, and everything worked smoothly, even when switching from one device to another.

We enjoyed using the mouse during our tests due to its features. Its Silent Touch technology kept clicks silent, making it excellent for an undisruptive working environment.

Aside from the clicks, we loved the high-precision optical sensor that offered better mouse control. Although as accurate as a gaming mouse, it allowed us to make precise clicks. We enjoyed using it for productivity tasks and casual browsing.

In addition to the high-quality features of the M380s mouse, we liked the middle mouse button. We could set any frequently used shortcuts or commands.

Getting accustomed to the flatter form of the M380s took us some time. Despite that, we found it comfortable to use, even for long periods.

Logitech Pebble 2 Review Summary

The Pebble 2 is another excellent product from Logitech. It has a compact, portable design, many colour options, and impressive functionality. Although it is not a highly customisable mechanical keyboard, it has some features you can tweak to improve your experience.

We love the colours of the Pebble 2, its simple design, and the aesthetic of the round keys. Plus, setting up the mouse and keyboard is easy, and you can use it with multiple devices. Switching between our connected devices was smooth when we tested it for this Logitech Pebble 2 Review.

Like its predecessor that debuted in 2020, the Pebble 2 Combo is compact, durable, and affordable. It is an excellent set of peripherals for everyday computing, especially if you always need them on the go.

The mouse and keyboard may not cater to gamers who need specialised features, but they are highly reliable. This product is a solid choice for average users who need a sleek and functional solution for studying, working, and browsing.
