Fitbit Versa 3 Smartwatch Packaging

Before getting into detail about the product, our Fitbit Versa 3 Smartwatch Review will focus on its packaging and contents. The product shipped in a nice-looking cardboard box with hues representing the product colour that you chose. In front, you will find the Smartwatch on display, along with its name and the company branding.

On the sides and rear, you will find additional information related to the product.

If you are familiar with Fitbit products, you will notice that the Versa 3 packaging is similar to its Sense packaging. It only has a different colour scheme.

Inside the box, you will find small/medium and medium/large-sized straps. One of the straps is already on the Versa 3, while the other is detached. So basically, it is a great buy since you get two straps to accommodate your wrist size.

When you remove everything from the box, you will find the Smartwatch, a charging cable, and the quick-start guide.

Fitbit Versa 3 Smartwatch Review – Design and Functionality

We will discuss the design and functions of the product in our Fitbit Versa 3 Smartwatch Review. The colour of our watch was an attractive olive shade, which offers a classy and premium vibe.

This Smartwatch sports a squircle shape and boasts a vibrant AMOLED screen similar to the earlier Versa screens. However, the difference is the screen of this Smartwatch is bigger at 1.58-inches with a resolution of 336×336. Additionally, the screen has a more curved appearance, giving off a softer and more subtle look.

When using the Smartwatch, you can choose to keep its display in the basic-face, Always On mode. It is a preferred mode, especially when you require instant access to stats during runs, workouts, bike rides, etc. However, choosing this mode will drop the battery life of the Smartwatch.

The bands of the Versa 3 are easy to swap, thanks to the easy and convenient process.

Instead of tinkering so much with the arrangement, you only need to push down an elevated tab. After, you can click its bands in and out.

Similar to the Sense Smartwatch, the Versa 3 has a shaking solid-state haptic button instead of a physical button. The latter is usually present on Versa models.

Generally, this button is only for switching the Smartwatch on since navigating requires swiping left/right or up/down. You can also create customisable shortcuts with the help of button presses. These can go directly to applications like Music, Alexa voice assistant, Alarms, etc.

The Smartwatch and the silicone Infinity Band are water resistant and can handle up to 50m.

The Versa 3 offers standard all-day activity measurements. These include steps, the floors you climbed, distance, active minutes, hourly activities, and the calories burnt.

The Smartwatch goes beyond that since it motivates and urges you to look over 10,000 steps as your target. This function will help push yourself harder to reach targets for Active Zone Minutes.

Here, you can earn points for moving along the recorded heart-rate zones. These include Cardio, Fat Burn, and Peak.

All of this information is on the clear, vibrant screen. But if you want more in-depth details, you can check out Fitbit’s mobile app.

HR tracking is the heart of many fitness features of the company. These include Active Zone Minutes, Cardio Fitness Levels, Workout Intensity Map, Sleeping Score, and Guided Breathing Sessions.

Key Features of the Fitbit Versa 3 Smartwatch

The key features of a product are essential. We will discuss these in our Fitbit Versa 3 Smartwatch Review.

SpO2 Tracking

There were limitations to the SpO2 sensor, which only worked with some watch faces. But as of the current software update, the Versa 3 can track SpO2 readings even while you sleep. It is regardless of the active watch face you have.

You can see your SpO2 readings at any time via the Today app. If not, you can also check these using the Fitbit app on your Smartphone.

Enjoy Bluetooth Calls

Bluetooth calling is a feature that makes your Smartwatch function as a Bluetooth-connected speaker for phone calls. You can communicate via the Smartwatch and hear the voice from the other line via the watch speakers.

You can end/accept calls via the Versa 3 and initiate calls using Google Assistant. There is no need to access your phone when utilising the Versa 3 for all voice calls without accessing your phone.

But remember, you still need to have your phone close for the Bluetooth connection. Why? Because the Versa 3 does not have an LTE version.

Voice Commands

Voice assistant is one of the features that became available after its latest software update. With the Versa 3, you can choose from Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant and enjoy hands-free commands.

24/7 Heart Rate Tracking

With this tracker, you can watch calories burnt and enhance your workout efforts using the improved PurePulse 2.0 technology. Plus, you can view your resting heart rate trends and cardio fitness levels.

Sleep Stages + Sleep Score with the Fitbit Versa 3 Smartwatch

View your time in deep, light, and REM sleep while getting an everyday Sleep Score via the Fitbit app. Check your Smartwatch to understand your quality of sleep every night.

The Score for Stress Management

With Versa 3, you can get a daily score that shows how your body physically responds to stress. You will see how exercise routines, sleep, and mindfulness practice can help manage your levels of stress.

Menstrual Health Tracking

With the help of the Versa 3 tracker, you can also know your body better. Utilise the Fitbit app to record symptoms, log periods, track ovulation, etc.

We used the Smartwatch for more than two weeks, so we managed to experience how it performs. We will share our experience with it in this Fitbit Versa 3 Smartwatch Review.

The highlight of Fitbit is activity tracking, so it’s not surprising that the Versa 3 is an efficient health buddy. It packs everything we expect from a fitness tracker, like SpO2 monitoring, heart rate tracking, VO2 maximum readings, etc.

We used Google Assistant, which was accurate and fast on the Smartwatch. We used standard commands, like “switch off the room lights” and “what is the weather forecast?”

Also, we were able to send text messages with just our voices. On Android, responding to emails and texts with our voice is possible too.

After the software update, the Versa 3 and Sense started issuing audible responses to Assistant inquiries. When we asked the Assistant about the weather, the response from the Versa 3 speakers was easy to hear.

Like activity tracking, Fitbit is known for its sleep tracking tools. The Smartwatch successfully kept tabs on the time we slept each night. Plus, it tracked how much time we spent during various sleeping stages.

Not only that, but the Versa 3 properly monitored our blood oxygen saturation while sleeping. If we suffered from any severe SpO2 changes, we would get tipped off about any breathing concerns like sleep apnea.

Fitbit Versa 3 Smartwatch Review Summary

With built-in GPS and a few design upgrades, the Versa 3 from Fitbit is an awesome Smartwatch. Like its predecessor, the Versa 3 is more of a fitness tracker than a Smartwatch. So, its productivity apps are a bit limited.

Despite these, you will receive an excellent battery life, an impressive display, and various fitness statistics. Thus, you can enjoy an affordable and compelling alternative to the Apple Watch.

When we tested the product for our Fitbit Versa 3 Smartwatch Review, we were satisfied with its excellent performance. We enjoyed the new features and the improvements the company implemented for this model.

The Fitbit Versa 3 is likely the best and most ideal all-around Smartwatch every Android user can get. And for its price, it sure is a perfect deal.
