Pulsar XBOARD QS Review – Design and Functionality

When we got our hands on the product for this Pulsar XBOARD QS Review, its weight surprised us. It weighs 148g, which was unusually heavy for a ten-keyless keyboard. Its weight is not ideal if you want a portable keyboard or often move things around on your setup.

With its aluminium chassis, the keyboard feels adequately durable for intense gaming. It also has multiple layers, including a sturdy frame and foam pads underneath. The latter absorbs the impact of every keystroke and offers a satisfying sound.

The keyboard has a retro-futuristic aesthetic, with its white colour scheme and Pulsar branding on the top left portion. It also has a few black keycaps that accentuate the overall design with its perfect contrast.

Above the F-keys, the XBOARD QS has a thin LED strip that makes the keyboard look more appealing. In addition, it has RGB lighting around the keycaps.

The labels on the double-shot PBT keycaps are not translucent, so the RGB does not shine through them. Despite that, the keycaps offer a clean and stylish look.

Controls  and Ports of the Pulsar XBOARD QS

The top of the keyboard features the volume control knob. When used with the function (Fn) key, you can toggle the 44 RGB lighting profiles.

This area houses the two buttons with the Quick Switch technology. One has the X mark, while the other has the + label. Pressing these lets you jump from PC1 to PC2.  The Quick Switch technology is the most unique feature we want to highlight in our Pulsar XBOARD QS Review.

Since the XBOARD QS is not wireless, it has two USB-C ports for connecting multiple systems.

The two USB-A ports are for connecting other devices and peripherals.
