Connectivity
First, we focused on testing the ROG Keris Wireless gaming mouse’s connectivity. When we did, we had no issues pairing the Bluetooth LE feature. We also didn’t have problems when using the wireless RF 2.4 GHz band.
For the ROG Paracord, it was simple enough to plug and play.
When using the mouse, there was no problem. It moved accurately and correctly when using the wireless RF 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth. Although for the Bluetooth, there were slight delays, we won’t be expecting to use it for gaming.
Using the ROG Paracord made it easy and quick to move. Tracking the mouse movement wasn’t a problem, and it was consistent in its precision.
Switch Replacements
Next, we tried replacing the switches with the included Omron micro switches. Remember, when switching the buttons, be careful of the small intricate parts. After swapping out the parts, we soon tested the click speed.
With the new replaced switches, it made the buttons prop back faster. It instantly releases the action after the click that makes it consistent and reliable, especially during intense gaming sessions.
If you aren’t familiar with replacing these switches, then don’t. Remember, you don’t need to replace what isn’t broken.
Remapping
After checking out the physical parts, we moved on to remapping the button layouts to fit our preferences. Remapping was easy thanks to the customisable reprogrammable buttons provided.
