We used the product for a week to share our experience with it in this ASUS RT-AXE7800 Router Review. Before we discuss its performance, we will focus on the ASUS Router Mobile App, its interface, and the available settings.
Many settings of the RT-AXE7800 are accessible via the ASUS Router Mobile App. This software works for setting up and managing the RT-AXE7800. Although it is not as in-depth as the web interface, it is one of the best router management applications.
ASUS offers the RT-AXE7800 with free lifetime network security tools and parental controls. You can manage and maximise these features with the ASUS Router Mobile App.
As for its interface, the Home screen shows real-time traffic stats and system component usage. You will also find a network map and application-based settings for QoS.
At the bottom of the Home screen is the Devices button. Pressing this leads you to a screen that displays connected users and the band or wired port used. You can tap on the client devices to monitor upload/download speeds and set bandwidth priority.

Tapping the Settings button opens a long menu of options for AiMesh, QoS, parental controls, USB, WAN, LAN, and WiFi. In addition, you can update the firmware, run simple diagnostics, and configure notifications. Plus, you can link the RT-AXE7800 to Google or Alexa accounts to activate voice control.
Over the past few weeks, we have enjoyed seamless and dependable WiFi coverage throughout the office. This router operates on the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands. So, it was able to cater to all our online activities like video calls, movie streaming, or gaming.
The stability of the router is remarkable, and the only interruption we noticed was during a firmware update. It was not lengthy since it only took several minutes to complete.
Once we began testing, the RT-AXE7800 outperformed other similar products in latency and speed. It also stood out in close-range scenarios in 5 and 6GHz bands. Over longer distances, it maintained decent performance levels.
