Creality Halot Mage S Packaging

When our Halot Mage S arrived for this Creality Halot Mage S Review, we immediately unboxed the product.

Creality ships the Halot Mage S in a brown cardboard box showing a product illustration and other details. The Halot Mage S is pre-assembled out of the box, so setting it up before testing was quick.

Inside, you will find the resin 3D printer protected with plastic and foam sheets protecting its top and bottom. The package has many tools and accessories for setting up the Halot Mage S.

Creality Halot Mage S Review – Design and Functionality

The Halot Mage S resembles the previous Halot Mage Pro and has minimal differences. It has numerous user-friendly elements, including the easy-to-open orange MageArch flip lid and multiple printing options. You can use a USB drive, WiFi, and Ethernet connectivity.

The build plate of this resin 3D  printer resembles the one in the Halot Mage Pro, featuring four adjustment points. Creality made improvements to the screws, allowing them to provide added security and keep the build plate in place.

It has a CNC aluminium alloy build plate with a laser-etched sandblasting platform plate. Creality built the latter for optimised print quality and an enjoyable user experience. The quick-release build plate also has a special-laser carved pattern for stronger adhesion and easier removal of printed models.

Like the rest of the product,  its resin tray looks similar to the previous ones. The only difference is the better paint job.

The front panel of the Halot Mage S features a colour touchscreen and two USB ports on its right. Its interface is simple and user-friendly, like other Creality 3D printers we previously used. When switching it on, the Halot Mage S prompts you to connect to Creality Cloud via WiFi.

The two USB ports next to the touchscreen have different uses. One is for connecting the USB stick to access print files. The other connects to a camera for time-lapse recording if you want to record your printing process.

The rear of this resin 3D printer has fewer elements. You will find the power switch, a connector for the power cable, and an Ethernet port.

Built-in Air Purification Unit

The Halot Mage S has an integrated air purifier for clean and odour-free printing. It works automatically based on the printing status.

This air purification unit uses a formula-activated carbon filter to neutralise resin odours and keep the environment safe for working.

Some users complained about the carbon air filter vibrating due to its loose connection on previous 3D printer models. The filter of the Halot Mage S stays in place, even when printing at high speeds. We appreciate Creality for paying attention to customer feedback and resolving this issue.

Key Features of the Creality Halot Mage S

Earlier in our Creality Halot Mage S Review, we mentioned the numerous improvements implemented on this resin 3D printer. We will discuss its primary features to let you learn more about what it offers.

14K Resolution for Stunning and Exquisite Prints

The Halot Mage S has a 14K ultra-high-resolution premium LCD screen, rendering shapes, fabric, and textures. This resin 3D printer can produce true-to-life pieces.

Integral Light Source 3.0 for Unparalleled Fidelity

The third iteration of the integral light source delivers adequate and uniform UV light to cure each resin layer precisely. As a result, the Halot Mage S can print sharp and neat shapes with accurate dimensions.

Dynax+ Mode – Print Ultra Fast

One of the primary highlights in this Creality Halot Mage S Review is the Dynax+ mode. You can switch it on in one tap to complete prints three to four times faster. It can finish a 15cm tall model in an hour without compromising quality.

Aside from high-speed printing, Dynax motion allows lifting and lowering the build plate by 1.2s. Steady motion results in minimal layer lines.

Speed-intended Pictor Release Film

The triple-layered Pictor film can reduce the peel force by 35%, allowing for a smooth build plate release. It also has a spare FEP film.

Adequate Adhesion with Laser-carved Build Plate

Halot Mage S features a  CNC-machined aluminium alloy build plate to create a uniform first layer. The plate surface has a unique laser-carved pattern that ensures stronger adhesion and quick model removal. This element improved our printing experiences when we used the product for this Creality Halot Mage S Review.

2.25x Levelling Tension with Non-slip Adapter

The brushed build plate adapter enhances the friction by 2.25x to 3530N to firmly lock the levelling state.

Smart Halot OS for Convenient Control

The latest Halot OS allows remote printing via phone or PC. You can also download sliced model files directly from the integrated Creality Cloud personal model library.

Smart Air Purifier, Odour-free Joy with the Creality Halot Mage S

The purifier automatically switches on and off depending on your printing status. It has a new activated carbon filter that efficiently absorbs resin odour.

Dual Linear Rails

The Halot Mage S has a rigid Z-axis and reduced wobbling for better printing performance.

Upgradeable With the Smart Resin Pump

Printing was fun and convenient when we used the product for this Creality Halot Mage S Review. Its innovative features make the process easier, and you can also improve your printing experience with the Smart Resin Pump.

This accessory automatically fills and withdraws resin without interfering with the levelling system. Its feeding tube is also detachable, making installing a new resin bottle more convenient.

From the moment you unbox this bad boy, you get a sense of the thought and care Creality put into its design and functionality.

From the get-go, the Halot Mage S sets itself apart with its hassle-free setup. Pre-assembled and ready to go, this printer saves you from the usual headache of piecing together various components.

Once you power it on, the simple and intuitive touchscreen interface guides you through the initial setup. Connecting to the Creality Cloud via WiFi is straightforward, allowing you to quickly dive into your first print job.

When it comes to 3D printing, the Creality Halot Mage S offers an experience that feels both revolutionary and refined. It’s as if Creality took a magnifying glass to every small detail that could enhance the user experience and then executed those improvements with precision.

The latest Halot OS is a powerful tool that enhances the overall printing experience. With this operating system, you can control and monitor your printer remotely via your phone or PC. This means you can start, pause, or stop prints from anywhere, giving you unprecedented flexibility and control.

The ability to download sliced model files directly from the Creality Cloud adds another layer of convenience, making the whole process seamless.

The true star of the show is the 14K ultra-high-resolution LCD screen. This feature ensures that every print comes out with stunning clarity and detail. Whether you’re printing intricate models, delicate textures, or complex shapes, the Halot Mage S handles it all with ease. Each layer of resin is cured precisely, thanks to the Integral Light Source 3.0, which provides uniform UV light coverage. This results in prints that are sharp, clean, and dimensionally accurate.

One of the standout features is the Dynax+ mode. This is where the Halot Mage S shows its prowess in balancing speed with quality. By enabling Dynax+ mode, you can complete prints three to four times faster than with conventional 3D printers.

Despite the increased speed, there is no compromise on the quality of the prints. The motion system lifts and lowers the build plate with incredible steadiness, resulting in minimal layer lines and a smooth finish.

Adhesion can be a bane for 3D printing enthusiasts, but the Halot Mage S addresses this issue head-on. The CNC-machined aluminium alloy build plate, combined with a laser-carved pattern, ensures that your models stick firmly during the printing process. When it’s time to remove the prints, the triple-layered Pictor release film comes into play.

This innovative film reduces the peel force by 35%, allowing for a smooth and effortless release. No more wrestling with your prints or worrying about damaging delicate structures.

The air purifier is an amazing inclusion, especially for those sensitive to resin fumes. The purifier automatically activates based on the printing status, ensuring a clean and odour-free workspace. This small but significant feature makes long printing sessions much more comfortable.

The dual USB ports add another layer of convenience. One port is for your USB stick, where you can easily access and load your print files. The second port is for connecting a camera to record time-lapse videos of your printing process. This is perfect for enthusiasts who love sharing their work or for professionals who need to document their printing progress.

Using the Creality Halot Mage S for 3D printing is an experience that marries speed, precision, and user-friendliness in a way that few other printers can match. Whether you’re printing a complex model or a simple design, the Halot Mage S delivers consistent, high-quality results.
