Each of the sticks has Ballistix printed on each side. For its specifications sticker, it is set at the centre of one side. You’ll see “Crucial by Micron” written on the other portion.

Additionally, Ballistix is printed in white at the top part of each stick.

Of course, we continued looking further into the product for our Crucial Ballistix RGB 32GB Kit DDR4 RAM review. From here, we saw that Crucial the Micron ICs, and specifically, they opted for the Micron E-Die. The IC is known as a great addition to the memory, making it perfect for overclocking.

In addition, the memory modules are extremely space-friendly, plus, the heat spreader doesn’t add too much height to the module. Checking its size, we expect that the product fits huge CPU air coolers without any hiccups.

Hands-on with the Crucial Ballistix RGB 32GB Kit DDR4 RAM

M.O.D. Utility

The M.O.D. Utility is used for making various configurations on the Crucial Ballistix RGB 32GB Kit DDR4 RAM. The software can be downloaded from the company’s official website.

With the M.O.D. Utility, we were able to include new levels of management and customisation to games. To note, the Memory Overview Display is a software made to optimise everyone’s user experience. And upon going through it, we can say it worked adequately.

This utility exhibits more than just temperature, and we’re highly appreciative of that. There were five menu options present, and the first one is for general information on the speed of current modules.

The next option is the temperature read-out which writes the data logged in files for later viewing. This is quite interesting for memory clockers especially those who plan to do extreme overclocking.

Do note that the third option only works when you’re using the correct Crucial memory set. That’s because it allows you to manage and control the LED on the modules.

The Settings menu focuses on the app’s settings and what can be done if ever the memory overheats.

The last is the About options which gives you a few details about the application. Other than these, it simply provides a link for quick and easy updating of the software.

Furthermore, it’s possible to enable a widget in the software. It will show you the module’s temperature while running the programs simultaneously. This allows everyone to watch the modules even while benchmarking.

We tested the memory to discuss its performance in our Crucial Ballistix RGB 32GB Kit DDR4 RAM review. Here, we were able to see how it worked and it was simply impressive. Throughout the tests we made, we didn’t experience problems or bottlenecks at all which is great.

When we utilised this memory, it functioned excellently on the PC we used them in. Our board was able to handle these easily. Plus, they were immediately recognised upon booting when we inserted them, which was great.

During daily tasks, the Ballistix RGB 32GB Kit DDR4 RAM performed just as well. We didn’t encounter any crashes or issues linked to it.

Out of the 32GB that it had, the usual apps that we use and Windows didn’t require more than 12GB. But when it came to gaming, it definitely required more, but that depended on the game we played. However, we can still say that 32GB is more than enough for any title.

The RGB lighting is bright and work just as good as everything else. These may not be as vibrant as other RGBs on other modules, but they have a nice touch to them for a transparent case.

Overall, the Crucial Ballistix RGB 32GB Kit DDR4 RAM performed exquisitely and is great for overclocking. Though it got slightly warm at some point, we didn’t encounter any huge or alarming issues during the performance test.

Our opinion is that this memory is one of the best kits you can find. Plus, it’s a great product if you’re into gaming.

To put it simply, these are outstanding RAM modules and aren’t just generous when it comes to capacity. These are really fast and our tests can attest to that. The kit is a smart choice for anyone who wants to build a powerful and efficient system.
