This September, Dreamhack 2022 took place in Melbourne and gamers everywhere converged to experience one of the best gaming events around. Dreamhack is one of the largest gaming lifestyle events held annually around the world that sees one of the biggest LAN events take place as well as a range of major eSports competitions.

GIGABYTE Sponsors the Intel Cash Box Prize Giveaway
Showing off some of the latest gaming hardware was not the only thing GIGABYTE was up to at the Dreamhack 2022 Intel booth, they were also part of the Intel Cash Box prize giveaway.
The Intel Cash Box giveaway saw Dreamhack attendees given the chance to instantly win prizes and go into the draw to win a major prize. Entrants were required to enter the ticket box that would then spin a large number of prize tickets around. By grabbing one of the swirling prize tickets, the contestant had the chance of winning one of the instant win prize packs or entering into the major draw.
The daily instant win prizes included a killer hardware bundle made up of an Intel Core i7 12700K CPU and a Z690 AORUS ELITE AX DDR4 motherboard. Entrants could also instantly win a 1TB AORUS Gen4 7000S M.2 SSD.
For the Dreamhack 2022 attendee that was lucky enough to win the major prize of the Intel Cash Box giveaway they were treated to one of the best gaming laptops around, the AORUS 17 XE4. Intel Gamer Days AORUS Giveaway
The Intel Price Box wasn’t the only promotion that GIGABYTE was involved in during Dreamhack 2022. Intel and GIGABYTE partnered together as part of the Intel Gamer Days campaign to offer those that were unable to attend Dreamhack the chance to participate in an amazing giveaway promotion.
For those that were not at Dreamhack, they had the chance to take their gaming to the next level with an AORUS gaming system giveaway. The lucky winner was treated to a high spec, high performance AORUS build from GIGABYTE and Intel.

Much Needed System Upgrades in the BYOC Area
Finally, as part of the partnership with Intel at Dreamhack 2022, GIGABYTE provided Dreamhack attendees with the chance to upgrade their own computers in the BYOC area.
Working with a different PC retailer each day, attendees were able to try their luck at scoring some much needed upgrades for their gaming computers, such as with an Intel Core i7 12700K CPU, Z690 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard, AORUS RAM, and M.2 SSD.
GIGABYTE partnered with MSY on Friday (day 1), PLE on Saturday (day 2), and Mwave on Sunday (day 3).
Everyone that was in the BYOC was invited to participate and enter the BYOC upgrade giveaway and together with Intel and retailers, GIGABYTE was able to ensure that those winners that were selected were in need of a serious PC upgrade. It was also ensured that the winners received an upgrade that their current system would greatly benefit from.
The winner on the second day of the promotion had a system that was so old that GIGABYTE also upgraded their old GPU with a brand new GIGABYTE RTX 3060 Ti GAMING OC GPU, and PLE upgraded their case and PSU as well. Their original PC was described as “some old black thing with a 7-8 year old i7 CPU”.
Thanks to the BYOC upgrade, this gamer was treated not just to a system upgrade, but a complete PC overhaul.
ESL Gamification and GIGABYTE
GIGABYTE was not only partnering with Intel at Dreamhack 2022 Intel both, they were also partnered with ESL to support the ESL Gamification event. ESL is one of the largest eSports organisations worldwide, providing some of the biggest eSport competition around.
The ESL Gamification event required Dreamhack attendees to gather points as they went around experiencing Dreamhack 2022 and registering these points on the app. A large number of QR codes were scattered around the venue, requiring attendees to scan the codes to collect their points.
Once the participant had collected enough ESL Gamification points, they were able to spin a prize wheel for a chance to win some great prizes.
GIGABYTE was proud to work with ESL to sponsor the ESL Gamification event with 4x FI32Q-X and 2 x FV43U monitors for winners to get their hands on.
