HyperX brings an affordable mouse with Qi wireless charging. The Qi standard allows you to use a mouse with any third-party wireless charging pad. Aside from wireless charging, the Pulsefire Dart also comes with other excellent features, which makes it even better.

The mouse comes with six buttons: left & right-click, the scroll wheel, centre button, and two additional side buttons. The centre button lets you cycle through give tracking resolution presets, while the side buttons are customizable via the software.

The sides of the HyperX Pulsefire Dart feature grips padded with synthetic leather. It also comes with additional padding, which is useful for reducing pressure during intense gaming sessions. If you grip your mouse tighter when gaming, the extra padding also helps keep the mouse protected. When it comes to the grip type, the Pulsefire Dart is best for palm or claw grips.

The mouse’s feet are large, thus, providing adequate gliding, giving you better control over the mouse. Its smoothness also helps solve weight distribution issues that you may experience. Plus, the onboard RGB lights are a nice touch to the HyperX Pulsefire Dart.

The excellent features of this mouse are all under the hood. It comes with the PixArt PMW-3389 sensor that detects movements up to 16,000 DPI. With that, gamers can execute more actions with accuracy and ease.

Wireless Qi Charging

Another nice feature of the Pulsefire Dart is the Wireless Qi Charging support, allowing for charging on a wireless base. With that, you can continue your gaming sessions even when you run out of power.

What we like about this mouse’s Qi charging is that it’s compatible with charging pads from other manufacturers. It’s a big plus since other wireless charging mice are only compatible with their charging pad. Because of this, you won’t have to purchase the HyperX’s ChargePlay charging base if you already have one. However, the Chargeplay also has its advantages – it has dual chargers that support the iPhone.

Next up in our HyperX Pulsefire Dart review, we’re going to discuss our hands-on experience with this product.

Hands on with the HyperX Pulsefire Dart

On this part of our HyperX Pulsefire Dart review, we’ll talk about the HyperX NGENUITY Software and the mouse’s performance. We’ll let you know if it’s responsive, accurate, precise, and if we experienced any issues while using it.

In terms of movement, the mouse was also precise, thanks to its sensor. It was highly reliable in tracking movements whether we used the minimum 200 DPI or the maximum 16,000 DPI.

The scroll wheel was great since the mouse also registered our clicks. It surprised us since it was more responsive than what we’ve experienced from a lot of other gaming mice we have tested before. Its feedback was as swift as the main buttons, which made it easier to open tabs. Activating abilities in-game also became easier and faster with its responsiveness.

HyperX NGENUITY is an intuitive utility that allows you to customize your compatible HyperX products, such as the Pulsefire Dart. Through the interface, you can set button bindings, create & save macros, as well as customize lighting. The software provides a lot of control and offers a wide range of presets to choose from.

Mice from HyperX have always been quick and precise, and the Pulsefire isn’t different. The left and right buttons were fast and responsive due to the Omron switches. With the split-button design that separates the left and right buttons, the sensitivity of these was equal. It registered our clicks whether we pressed at the front, back, and sides of each button.

While activating the Pulsefire Dart from sleep mode, we encountered occasional stuttering. However, we’re not sure if it’s because of the wireless connectivity or if it’s a sensor issue. I` Since it performs excellently while in use, we still consider this mouse highly reliable and efficient.

For a wireless mouse, the battery matters as much as its responsiveness. The company’s claims were true; the Pulsefire Dart lasted up to 50 hours during our test. It took us a week of heavy use to drain the fully charged mouse, making it better than other mice.

Overall, the HyperX Pulsefire Dart was excellent, and we’re giving five stars for its performance.
