Inside the box, you will find the Tune 510BT wireless headphones itself along with a USB-C charging cable. JBL also included the warranty/warning, and a QSG.

JBL Tune 510BT Wireless Headphones Review – Design and Functionality

We also checked out the product’s build and functions for our JBL Tune 510BT wireless headphones review. Here, we saw that it’s a very simple-looking pair that’s similar to the Live 400BT wireless’ design.

For some added style, JBL included an embossed manufacturer’s logo on the product’s ear cups and its slim plastic headband. Speaking of its headband, it’s an adjustable piece that only weighs 160g. Plus, its ear pads are cushioned and extremely soft, thus, giving you increased comfort when worn.

The Tune 510BT wireless headphones also sport a thin, sleek, and low profile. It means that it won’t draw too much attention when you wear it out or in the office. And since it’s lightweight, you’ll end up forgetting that you’re wearing them after a short period of time.

And if you’re curious, the headphones come in three different colours, and these are white, black, and blue.

Furthermore, these are quite portable. The ear cups can easily swivel to stay flat against your chest. Or, you can even fold it inwards to decrease their footprint.

This makes the Tune 510BT wireless headphones easier to store.

The headphones are sturdier and tougher than their appearance may suggest. These can fold up as well, allowing you to store them even in small compartments.

And with how it was made, we think that these can handle being dropped a few times. With that, we believe that the Tune 510BT wireless headphones can stand the test of time.

Another plus for this product is that it comes with an integrated microphone. And, the ear cups even have controls that let you manage calls, voice assistant, and sounds.

The headphones feature a decent physical control layout where all buttons are positioned on the right ear cup. JBL also ensured that these are easy to control and tell apart.

Holding the volume down and up buttons will allow you to skip tracks backward and forward, respectively.

Pressing the middle button plays and pauses music; or, you can use these to answer or end phone calls. If you hold this button down during a call, it’ll mute your microphone or reject other incoming calls. Then when you double-tap, it will switch on your phone’s voice assistant.

The buttons of these headphones are clicky, giving you good physical feedback. Not only that, but there are even audio cues when you reach the maximum and minimum volumes. JBL also included chimes that will go off when switching on the headphones or when pairing these over Bluetooth.

This time, we’re discussing what the headphones can offer here in our JBL Tune 510BT wireless headphones review.

Hands-on with the JBL Tune 510BT Wireless Headphones

This part of our JBL Tune 510BT wireless headphones review is where we’ll get more hands on with the product. It’s where we’ll see how good it performed, and if it’s something worth purchasing.

The Tune 510BT wireless headphones offered a neutral and versatile sound which made them great for different music genres. Its bass response was full and wasn’t overbearing, so it sounded good for us who enjoy strong bass. It also won’t overwhelm in any way, so it’s also something for those who want a more balanced sound.

Just remember that these headphones do not have a voice-cancelling feature.

In terms of definition, the headphones have strong, and well-tailored low ends. The JBL Pure Bass was good, but at times, it was a bit strong. However, it never compromised our music but it would overpower some ranges.

We noticed that these have slightly excess mids wherein vocals were difficult to interpret. And with that, highs and lows didn’t have that much punch in them.

When we slightly boosted the mids, it took away the edge from other ranges, giving them timbre and spatial placement. It gave a sense of wholeness to the music, but at times, it got a bit overwhelming.

The Tune 510BT wireless headphones have a huge contrast from its cousin, the JBL Club One. Highs alter between brightness and flatness where it leans more towards the latter.

High ends on these are ideal for providing a light shine without going overboard, thus, giving off a polarising sound. The Tune 510BT wireless headphones can bring out that sparkle from modern, processed, or high-fidelity compositions. Plus, it can also keep the delicate tones from more understated and organic tunes.

The headphones’ integrated microphone delivered good performance. Although our recorded speech sounded slightly thin, it was natural, clear, and audible, making it great for voice calls.

After testing the headphones for this JBL Tune 510BT wireless headphones review, we saw it performed above its price point. Meaning, it will satisfy a lot of users, especially bargain-hunters. Even if you’re not an audio expert, you’ll be able to determine that these headphones’ sound is high-quality.

We recommend the Tune 510BT for casual listeners who mostly enjoy rap music. Although it was good for other music, it sounded better for rap since it’s more full and has more punch.
