Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Review

Logitech is known for creating some of the most durable, efficient, and affordable quality gaming headsets on the market. So, it is no surprise that the company aims for a product that leans more on the premium side. Today, we will discuss one of their offerings in this Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Review.

The G935 is not the highest-priced gaming headset from Logitech anymore. However, it is still more expensive compared to their usual offerings. Despite this, it still gives us features like surround sound, wireless audio, and customisable LEDs.

But since cheaper options offer the same elements, is the G935 still worth the purchase? In our Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Review, we will get more in-depth with the product to see what it offers. We will discuss its features, functions, performance, design, and specs.

But before any of those, let us look at what is inside the box.

Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Packaging

Our headset ships in a classic Logitech box sporting a blue and grey theme. In front, you will see the product image, its name, company branding, and some features.

Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Review – Design and Functionality

When we first saw the product for this Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Review, we noticed its gamer aesthetic.

Crafted predominantly from plastic, the G935 boasts a distinct appearance characterised by its angular, oversized ear cups. Enveloping its contours are LED strips tracing a luminescent path along the rear.

These also fashion the G emblem on its sides. The headset is chunky and bulky, but you may need it for your setup.

Its design features a level of modularity despite its lack of replacement options. The side plates are removable, which displays a storage slot on the left earcup for its USB dongle. On the right is space for the headphone battery.

We realised how straightforward the G935 is when using it for our Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Review. However, you will need to familiarise yourself with it.

The product has a collection of buttons and switches on the left earcup, which are customisable. You will find a volume dial, power switch, mic mute button, and three programmable buttons. These default to toggling surround sound, cycling EQ presets, and managing LED light brightness.

Access the G Hub software to use surround sound, remap buttons, or change LED colours.

Since it is a wireless headset, the G935 integrates a 2.4GHz wireless USB dongle to link with your platform.

Key Features of the Logitech G935 Wireless Headset

This part of our Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Review focuses on what makes the product worth considering. We listed all its features to give you an idea of what it can offer.

Absolute Sound Science

You get the ultimate wireless experience with the G935 since it employs advanced audio technology. Its DTS headphone: X 2.0 and 50mm Pro-G audio drivers create an expansive, immersive, and detailed soundscape for your listening enjoyment.

2.4GHz Wireless Connection

The headset allows you to choose between wireless or wired listening. You can enjoy playing music for up to 12 hours per charge, thanks to its 2.4GHz wireless feature. Or, you can continue playing while charging via the included USB cable.

Moreover, its 3.5mm analogue input offers the freedom to play wired on mobile, console, or PC. The good thing is you do not need any battery power to make it work.

Advanced Music Play with the Logitech G935 Wireless Headset

The product sports upgraded Pro-G 50mm drivers featuring a woven hybrid mesh. It is a feature that unlocks increased sonic detail, clarity, and depth at any volume.

With its increased diameter, the Pro-G works better than ever. Low-frequency audio, like explosions or rich tunes, is richer and more cinematic.

High frequencies like footsteps, voices, and fired shots sound precisely clean and recreated.

Beyond 7.1 Surround Sound

Take advantage of the outstanding DTS Headphone: X 2.0 that performs adequately than standard 7.1 channel surround sounds.

Accurate in-game spatial recognition lets you detect the distance and position of enemies in an entirely 3D soundscape. So, hearing sounds in the environment will bring you to victory.

Customisable Headset

Thanks to the G HUB gaming software, you can customise different aspects of the headset.

  • Personalise the LIGHTSYNC RGBs
  • Customise Audio Preferences Using Distinct Profiles for Every Game/App
  • Program G-keys with In-game Commands and Macros

Programmable G-Keys

The G935 Wireless has three programmable keys, which you can customise for your best experiences. We made our personalised settings while testing the product for this Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Review.

This feature also impressed us, making our gaming sessions more convenient and enjoyable.

Lightsync RGB

Lightsync RGB lets you choose from pre-loaded RGB animations or around 16.8 million colours to create custom effects. Logitech G Hub also has RGB effects that respond to in-game sounds, action, and screen colour. If you have other Logitech G Lightsync RGB devices, you can unify your gear for a more immersive experience.

Custom Sound Profiles

Use Logitech G Hub to customise your audio via the EQ and DTS Headphone:X 2.0 settings. Aside from that, you can control the mic volume, sidetone, noise removal, and more.

Loud with Excellent Clarity

The Mic+ 6mm is the boom mic of the G935 Wireless. It enhances the sound quality of communications with excellent clarity. Plus, it has an indicator LED that shows the mic is on mute.

Comfortable and Durable design

The G935 has premium leatherette padding on the headband and ear cups to keep you comfortable. Its huge circumaural ear pads prevent pressure on the soft tissues of your ears while offering passive noise isolation. Plus, it has removable ear cups for convenient cleaning.

Immersive Sound Powered by Artificial Intelligence

The G935 Wireless uses AI to deliver highly immersive audio experiences optimised for your hearing. The Immerse setting lets you hear the location of opponents, their footsteps, and reload sounds precisely. Another option is Close Combat, which puts you at the centre of the action with audible whizzing bullets.

Hands-on with the Logitech G935 Wireless Headset

We tested the product for this Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Review. We used it for two weeks to see how it fared in different scenarios. But before we share information on its performance, what does Logitech G Hub have to offer?

Logitech G Hub

G Hub is a software from Logitech compatible with Windows 10 and Mac OS. It sports a user-friendly and effective front end that is convenient to navigate.

With G Hub, you can start customising the surround sound mode, headphone buttons, and lighting.

The Logitech G Hub software is for Mac OS and Windows 10, boasting an intuitive and efficient user interface. It offers easy customisation options for various features, including headphone controls, surround sound settings, and lighting preferences.

Particularly noteworthy is the gaming mode tailored for virtual surround sound. It is perfect for competitive gaming since it enhances the ability to pinpoint enemy movements.

Furthermore, this software is fully compatible with other Logitech G-series peripherals. It seamlessly detects a wide array of games on your system, creating custom profiles for them.

While engaging in first-person shooters, the headset buttons can allocate functions like game recording. Conversely, you might prefer prioritising adjusting EQ and surround sound profiles.

The G935 handled music excellently.  Its bass range was quiet, but it seamlessly played music by default. It was virtually flat with a slight bump in the mid-bass, adding punch to the bass guitars and kick drums.

The midrange was also impressive with its excellent balance and flatness, resulting in more accurate reproduction of vocals and leads. Although slightly under-emphasised, it was barely noticeable, so we have no complaints.

Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Review Summary

Many gaming headsets have unique features that give them a specific market niche. However, the G935 Wireless is unique and well-rounded, perfect for enthusiast PC gamers who want high-quality audio when gaming.

We enjoyed using the product out of the box when we tested it for this Logitech G935 Wireless Headset Review. However, tweaking some of its settings in Logitech G Hub enhanced our audio experience significantly. We recommend using the software to maximise what this headset offers.

This product is highly recommendable, especially if you already have other Logitech G-series products. It offers detailed sound with adequate clarity and has comprehensive complementary software.
