T-Force is a sub gaming brand from TeamGroup, a memory maker company. Today, it’s finding itself among the lot. So, we’re focusing on one of their products in this TeamGroup T-Force XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM review.
We’re talking about T-Force’s contender under the XTREEM ARGB series, their sub-brand that was introduced last December 2019. Their XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM is a memory kit that stands out from the rest. It packs a lot of excellent features that you wouldn’t want to miss.
What we have for our TeamGroup T-Force XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM review is the 4x 8GB DDR4. This totals to 32GB and it comes in a nice white colour. And for its speed, we have the 3600 MHz version.
TeamGroup T-Force XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM Packaging
Our product arrived just in time for our TeamGroup T-Force XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM review. It came in a securely-packed cardboard box that has a slip-on cover with an image of the product in front.
This also displays T-Force’s branding, the name of the RAM, as well as some of its primary features. On its rear, you’ll find additional information about the product which you can refer to when necessary.
After pulling out the cover, you’ll find a sleek and premium-looking box that houses the product. It’s coloured entirely black save for T-Force and its logo.
Inside, you’ll see the two memory modules kept in an anti-static plastic clamshell container. It’s sturdy and durable enough to protect the product while it’s being shipped to you.
The box also contains a little soft cloth to clean the module’s central strip. Plus, it has an extra plastic clamshell that functions as a base/support for the other clamshell with memory modules. Lastly, you’ll find the warranty and installation guide, as well as a sticker with T-Force’s logo.
TeamGroup T-Force XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM Review – Design and Functionality
After unboxing for our TeamGroup T-Force XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM review, we noticed the product’s high-quality and premium build. It even has a full-screen light-penetrating style which looks impressive once installed in your gaming rig.
The memory modules of the XTREEM ARGB rests on the PCB featuring an aluminium alloy heat spreader for passive cooling. Its body is made using translucent plastic that lets addressable RGB LED lights shine through. Keep in mind that the design isn’t the same on both sides since the rear exposes the heat spreader.
It isn’t a big deal on the dual-channel boards yet it’s evident on quad-channel platforms. When it comes to branding, TeamGroup set their T-Force logo in front of the memory modules. For the XTREEM ARGB branding, it’s placed on a different silver strip.
Then, you’ll find the T-Force text at the centre of the top portion of the heat spreader.
Like we mentioned, the memory kit we have is four 8GB DDR4 with a speed of 3600 MHz. It has built-in 10-layer PCB and Samsung K-4A8G-085WB-BCPB circuits commonly referred to as B-die.
Mirror Finish, O.C Profile, and Lighting Effects
The product’s mirror finish is a nice element that adds to its stunning aesthetics. However, keep in mind that its glossy surface is a fingerprint magnet, but this likely won’t be an issue. Why? Because you’ll probably install the modules in their system and never really touch them.
But in case fingerprints do appear, you can use the included microfibre cloth to keep the shiny modules clean.
The RAM has an integrated O.C profile that lets you experience the ultra-fast single-click overclocking technology on Intel/AMD. It supports all major lighting effect management software so you can make the best RGB effects with a distinct style.
When the XTREEM ARGB isn’t illuminated, an elegant texture of its mirror design is created. And when it is, the light penetration is stunningly gorgeous. These are perfectly leading the trend of gaming memories and we’re loving every aspect of it.
Now when the computer is switched on, or if the RGB is activated, that’s where the magic happens. The whole body of the memory stick comes to life with its addressable RGBs.
You can find the light at the centre of the stick. It emanates from this area with the help of the integrated light diffuser. And as for the results, it’s simply stunning.
Booting the system, we learned that the XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM comes pre-programmed with a rainbow-like fading effect. Then, each of the modules cycle through every colour option as the colours change from the module’s centre, then outward.
Build Quality of the TeamGroup T-Force XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM
We can’t deny that the XTREEM RGB has a fantastic build quality. The DIMMs are full of weight plus they feel robust and durable.
The aluminium heatsink combined with the RGB mirror surface offers a great balance. This ensures that there aren’t any compromises between performance and aesthetics.
We noticed that the shape of the XTREEM ARGB’s plastic light diffuser allows us to have an easy installation process. That’s because it’s securely and tightly placed onto its slot on the motherboard.
In fact, we first thought that the XTREEM ARGB wouldn’t fit in our build. But to our surprise, we were able to successfully install the RAM without any troubles at all.
As long as there was sufficient room in our build, we didn’t need to worry. That’s because the XTREEM ARGB is designed for easy installation.

Performance of the TeamGroup T-Force XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM
This time, let’s see how the TeamGroup T-Force XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM performed with the Intel and AMD platform. Did it work better for both? Or was it more efficient for one over the other?
We’ve tried and used the memory kit on one of our Intel builds for over a week to thoroughly see and experience how it performs. And that’s when we knew that the XTREEM ARGB was one of the more efficient kits around.
It worked excellently on most workloads we threw at it, and we didn’t experience any issues during our tests. When it came to gaming, the kit’s performance was just as good, and it didn’t falter or slow down.
We also decided to test the memory kit with AMD and Intel and there were no stability issues. Everything went smoothly and it still performed notably, which was great. We decided to enable XMP, and from there, everything worked smoothly and efficiently.
This is a huge plus, and we feel that the company offered a great DDR4 memory series with this kit.
To put it simply, TeamGroup’s T-Force XTREEM ARGB DDR4 RAM performed consistently on this platform. And if we compare it with others around, it took first place on the app performance charts and gaming charts.
There were no problems as well, just like when we used it with the Intel platform.
So, we highly recommend this to anyone who wants a plug-and-play memory kit for their AMD or Intel build. It delivered impressive performance and even if there were kits with similar specs, for us, nothing beats the XTREEM ARGB.
For its copy performance, boosting the frequency had an obviously huge effect.
AIDA64
Cinebench R15
3DMark Timespy
RGB Lighting
With the T-Force Blitz and other software that are compatible, we were able to nicely sync the colours of our system. And even if RGB lighting is apparently all-pervasive in today’s gaming systems, the kit still looks amazing even without it.
We love the module’s clean white colour that looks great even on its own. And this is without compromising its RGB vibrancy.
