Modern demanding workloads cause hardware to heat, which compromises performance. To solve issues like this, your PC needs a high-performance cooler. Our BeQuiet Silent Loop 2 Review will discuss all the essential details about one of the latest AIO coolers.
The Silent Loop 2 is a whisper-quiet 360mm AIO water cooling unit. BeQuiet claims it is ideal for demanding systems with heavily overclocked processors. What makes it suitable for demanding applications?
Our BeQuiet Silent Loop 2 Review will discuss all the necessary information about this product. These details will help you determine if it is compatible with your PC and if it will meet your needs.
BeQuiet Silent Loop 2 Review – Design and Functionality
Our BeQuiet Silent Loop 2 Review will focus on taking a closer look at each of its components. This cooling system features a 360mm black radiator made of aluminium. It is 27mm thick and has 20 fins per inch.
You will also find two fan mounting holes on its radiator and low-permeability rubber tubes running approximately 400mm long. The tubes have braided nylon sleeves for added protection.
This cooler has a stylish and robust-looking block featuring a pump with a three-chamber design. These elements ensure high-performance cooling and silent operation.
One of the chambers offers sufficient space for the coolant to spread out. As a result, there is minimal turbulence when it leaves the pump.
This pump connects with a 3-pin flat cable that runs up to 392mm from its base. Plus, it uses 9~12V power and has a 2800 RPM rating. Aside from reduced noise, BeQuiet implemented features to reduce the vibration on the pump.
This plastic block has a black colour finish. It also has an aluminium sandblasted ARGB LED backlit face plate.
You will find spring-loaded screws pre-installed on the two sides of the block. The middle clamp design protrudes on both sides with screws on both ends.
The block also features tubes installed on the 90° rotary barbs. Plus, the ARGB cable running from the base has a header for daisy chaining.
The Silent Loop 2 has a nickel-plated copper base plate with a mirror finish and measures 55x55mm. Out of the box, you will see a protective sticker on top, warning you to peel it off before use.
Fans
BeQuiet provided three Silent Wings 3 fans for this product. Each fan measures 120mm and has a black finish matching the entirety of the cooling system.
The fans have seven blades with a layered design for better airflow and less air turbulence. The fans use a six-pole and three-phase motor with fluid-dynamic bearings for smooth and silent operation. One side of its rigid frame has two arrow symbols indicating the blade spin and airflow directions.
The mounting holes of the fans have a concealed design, offering a better appearance when installed. These have anti-vibration pads on top of the concealment.
On the rear of the fans, you will find a four-arm assembly on the main frame. One arm has a wider area since it routes the wires towards the exterior. These fans feature 4-pin PWM connectors.
Key Features of the BeQuiet Silent Loop 2
What makes this cooler suitable for demanding workloads? Our BeQuiet Silent Loop 2 Review will discuss each feature to answer this question.
Excellent Pump Design for Silent Operation
The Silent Loop 2 360mm is a high-performance cooling system featuring an innovative three-chamber pump design. This design ensures whisper-quiet operation. Its second chamber provides ample space for the coolant to spread out, reducing turbulence before it exits the pump unit.
Quiet Operation
The massive pump dampening absorbs vibrations and reduces resonance in the pump housing. As a result, it produces minimal noise during operation.
High-Performance Cooling
This cooler delivers superior cooling performance, and our BeQuiet Silent Loop 2 Review will explain how it works.
This cooler can provide adequate cooling since it has optimised parts that work with excellent technical symbiosis. When using the Silent Loop 2, there is no need to worry about pushing your CPU to its limit.
Sizeable Cold Plate
With the high-density fin stack and nickel-coated plate, the cold plate can provide maximum cooling for the cooler. As a result, the Silent Loop 2 becomes a superior water-cooling unit for high-end processors.
Impressive Performance to Noise Ratio
The presence of three Silent Wings 3 fans provides you with an outstanding performance-to-noise ratio. These high-speed fans feature seven airflow-optimised fan blades and a six-pole motor for reduced vibration. Plus, it uses a durable fluid-dynamic bearing.
The Silent Wings 3 fans also have funnel-shaped air inlets for high air pressure, making them excellent for radiators.
Stunning Illumination
The Silent Loop 2 has ARGB LEDs with multiple colours and modes, allowing you to create individualised aesthetics. You can sync the illumination using ARGB adjustments via the motherboard or the wired ARGB remote controller.
The BeQuiet logo has a white illumination, which you can switch on or off based on your preferences.
Easy and Safe Refill
The easily accessible refill port is a unique feature we want to highlight in our BeQuiet Silent Loop 2 Review. It makes refilling coolant safe and convenient for simple maintenance.
Hands-on with the BeQuiet Silent Loop 2
Installing the Silent Loop 2 was a breeze, making it an excellent experience. We appreciate the inclusion of comprehensive installation hardware, making it compatible with many AMD and Intel sockets.
The company defined the target market of this AIO water cooling system. BeQuiet says it is for heavily overclocked CPUs, but can this product maintain low temperatures under workload?
We were impressed with the thermal performance when we tested the cooler for this BeQuiet Silent Loop 2 Review. It was comparable with most high-end 360mm AIO coolers we used before.
Our benchmark tests, conducted under consistent conditions, showed that this cooler maintained a stable temperature of 66°C under load and 33°C at idle. This performance makes it an excellent choice for users with unlocked processors, as it ensures the system can handle CPU overclocking if you choose to pursue it.
The Silent Loop 2 worked perfectly, even under heavy workloads, since our components remained cool throughout our tests. Its noise slightly increased at higher workloads, but the fans were barely audible. Also, the cooler was dead-silent when operating under light loads and on idle.
With its superior cooling potential, silent performance, easy installation, and coolant refill provision, this cooler is ideal for demanding workloads.
