JBL PartyBox 710 Review

Our JBL PartyBox 710 Review is about the PartyBox 710 – a Bluetooth speaker offering customisable RGBs and pro-grade music. It is an excellent product for parties but also perfect for taking along with you on road trips, chilling, etc.

This review will discuss the essentials of the speaker, including its features, functions, design, specs, and how it performs. All this information will help determine if this PartyBox is for you. So, continue reading our JBL PartyBox 710 Review and let us start with what is inside the box.

JBL PartyBox 710 Packaging

The speaker arrived in a cardboard box sporting a simple design save for one of its sides. But one section, which we assume is the front has a colourful image of people partying with the PartyBox 710.

Aside from these elements, there is nothing else to see on the box. Yet inside, everything is secure and protected against damage during shipping. That means you can sit back, relax, and wait until your speaker arrives to start the party!

Inside, you will find the PartyBox 710 along with other accessories, including the following:

  • A right-angle AC power cord (the AC plug varies per region)
  • One warranty card
  • The quick start guide
  • A safety sheet

JBL PartyBox 710 Review – Design and Functionality

While unboxing the product for our JBL PartyBox 710 Review, we saw the stylish and modern design of the speaker. The matte yet rubbery feel suits the overall design giving the speaker a sleek aesthetic.

Another aspect that makes it excellent is its waterproof and dirt resistant-design. That means you can take it with you to party whenever, wherever.

The PartyBox 710 is the second largest model from the collection, weighing 27.8kg. But despite the weight, it features an easy-to-grip handle plus robust wheels to make it easier to transport the speaker.

However, remember that it does not feature an integrated battery, so plug it into a power source.

The PartyBox 710 is a versatile speaker that produces notable audio and sports a tough exterior.

It has integrated mic and guitar inputs for optimised karaoke sessions/live performances. Plus, it has straightforward controls that are easy to use.

While testing the speaker, we fiddled with its bass, echo, and treble dials. We did this before realising that these only affected the sound balance of connected guitars, so keep that in mind.

JBL PartyBox 710 Controls

Our JBL PartyBox 710 Review will focus on the top portion of the product since it houses the speaker controls.

If a private light show in your backyard is not your thing, there are buttons to switch the lighting on/off. You can find this in the middle of each dial. A power button, a Bluetooth pairing button, and the Bass Boost are additional buttons on the top.

There are three dials on the rear. These control the treble, bass, and echo functions.

We experimented with each, but the echo dial did not optimise audio. So we advise leaving it at 0.

A tiny cutout is at the top of the speaker for a phone or tablet to fit. Quite ingenious if you want to queue a playlist on your iPad. You can leave it with the PartyBox to go around the party and interact with guests.

Hands-on with the JBL PartyBox 710

This section of our JBL PartyBox 710 Review is all about us sharing our hands-on experience with the speaker. We used it for a week to see if it worked as JBL claims.

The speaker sound is its first and arguably most significant feature. And with the PartyBox 710 gave us high-quality audio from the start of our tests. It filled the space with clear highs and powerful bass to make music more enjoyable.

The speaker dominated every space in the room, so we heard everything. The PartyBox 710 was extremely loud, so we tested the speaker outside to determine its power.

We brought the PartyBox 710 to a field to ensure our testing area was huge. The audio we played easily carried across the space when we switched on the speaker. It was loud and bass-filled, so we only left it at 25% volume for the most part.

We moved further from where we set the speaker to determine its power and efficiency. And interestingly, we still heard it despite being far from it.

We did not try shifting its volume to 100% since it might cause a commotion, and we did not want to get into trouble in any way. But if we cranked up its volume, we would hear our music from the other side of the field.

The PartyBox 710 does not support high-resolution Bluetooth codecs, yet with its built-in standards, everything sounds good. We could hardwire our music source into the AUX jack if we had issues with fidelity. But we tried it anyway and noticed a big difference between the two.

Hardwired connection offered the best sound quality, no doubt, but Bluetooth was as efficient. Plus, it was also a convenient feature to have.

We also checked the LEDs for our JBL PartyBox 710 Review, and these added charm and excitement to music listening.

Its LED lights gave our space a playful, lively feel. We could change each of its lighting modes to fit the mood. And to our delight, the lights moved in time with the music, so everything was pleasing and synchronised.

When we unboxed the speaker and plugged it into a power source, we immediately switched it on to check. Right then, an attractive startup light sequence appeared and continued after that. Interestingly, even without any music, the LEDs switched on and off.

JBL PartyBox 710 Review Summary

Overall, the JBL PartyBox 710 is a fun, durable, and quality speaker that we highly suggest. We love that it produces clear audio, and its multitude of RGBs and light modes fit the party vibes of anyone.

JBL also did an excellent job of making the speaker compatible with the PartyBox app. It is a convenient inclusion that lets you customise sounds and lighting patterns on mobile.

The speaker is worth purchasing for several reasons, including its high-quality audio with low bass. It is ideal for listening to hip-hop or party music and watching movies. Plus, it has mic and guitar inputs for those who want to perform.

Aside from its good sound, its IPX4 rating makes it perfect for fun parties. It is splash and dust-proof, so you do not need to worry while enjoying your music. Also, it has robust built-in handles and wheels.

To get more details, you can visit the official product page of JBL. And once you are ready to make that purchase, you can easily buy the speaker from their website.
