The QNAP TVS-872XU has a design made for business IT environments. Because of it combined with its excellent features, it was able to share our large files seamlessly. Intensive data transfers were as notable, and we didn’t experience any issues while trying it out.
As usual, we highly recommend that you install quality hard drives that are designed specifically for NAS usage. We opt for the Seagate IronWolf hard drives which is what we installed in the TVS-872XU. The Seagate IronWolf drives come in at a very affordable price but they are also designed for use within NAS enclosures. This ensures that your data remains safe on the drives and greatly reduces the risk of drive failures. By installing the IronWolf’s in a RAID configuration you will also get the added benefit of some disk redundancy should anything ever happen to one of the drives or the NAS.
SSD Cache Acceleration
