Today, we are writing our Razer Basilisk V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Review to focus on the Basilisk V3 Pro. It is one of the newest Razer mice models packed with quality, efficiency, and excellence.
Like Deathadder V3 Pro and Deathstalker V2 Pro, the mouse appears better than its rivals due to comfort, ergonomics, etc. But will it be worth purchasing?
Let us find out in this Razer Basilisk V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Review.
Razer Basilisk V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Packaging
We love the packaging of the Basilisk V3 Pro since it shipped in a premium-looking all-black box. The front displays an image of the mouse with all its RGBs lit, the company branding and the model name. Aside from these, you will also find the product features listed in front.
Inside the box, you will not find many inclusions here. What you will find inside is the mouse, a 1.8m cable, an adapter, and a dongle.
Razer Basilisk V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Review – Design and Functionality
Let us discuss the functionality and design of the product in our Razer Basilisk V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Review. The mouse sports a distinct right-handed ergonomic style with a thumb rest for smoother flicks and lesser drag while gaming. It helps make utilising the mouse more comfortable and efficient because you get thumb assistance the whole time.
The Basilisk V3 Pro has a frame identical to its wired sibling. Plus, the appeal of the Basilisk line was always its contoured and sculpted shape. Thus, making it one of the comfiest gaming mice around.
Also, plenty of rubberised pads along the sides of the mouse add more comfort to the mouse.
With the Basilisk V3 Pro, you are getting excellent ergonomics for claw and palm grips, as well as outstanding support. It is slightly heavier than the Deathadder V3 Pro, but the mouse is still comfortable when in use.
The centre bump and deep valleys on the right and left buttons are elements that palm grip users will appreciate. Meanwhile, claw grip gamers would enjoy the rubberised texture side grips that prevent their fingers from slipping.
Moreover, the mouse also tapers off for a slimmer back, which allows the mouse to be less bulky. All its buttons are easy to access, including the DPI up/down buttons underneath the scroll wheel. Also, the latter allows three modes like free spin, tactile, and Smart-wheel.
There are 10+1 buttons available, the additional one being an onboard profile button beneath. It allows you to cycle through various profiles, while the others can be remapped/reprogrammed individually with macros.
One of the promising new features is the new scroll tilt wheel, which allows for side-scrolling. Most people are accustomed to utilising normal ratcheting by default.
A button (behind the wheel) allows you to switch to free-spin mode, which people prefer when fast scrolling is necessary. However, the third setting, Smart Reel, lets you enjoy the best of both.
By default, the mouse is tactile. But once you start scrolling, it switches to free scroll and back again when done. It even supports scroll acceleration: the faster you scroll, the quicker its speed increases.
By default, it is standard ratcheting which people often use. And with a flick of a button, you can toggle free-spin mode for high-speed scrolling. Also, you can opt for scroll-clicking, which is also programmable.
