Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Review

The DeathAdder is one of the most popular Razer mice lines, and we are discussing its product today. Our Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Review will focus on the V3 Pro that features the company’s ergonomic design. It is ideal for all users, even those with larger hands.

The gaming mouse is lightweight and features the Focus Pro 30K optical sensor from Razer. It also features 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, tons of customisation options, etc.

But are all these features enough to make it as good as other DeathAdder products? Continue reading our Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Review to find out.

Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Packaging

Like other DeathAdder products, the mouse arrived in a black-themed cardboard box with an image of the product in front. You will also find the company logo, the product name, and some of its key features.

Inside the box, you will find the V3 Pro with other inclusions. These are a wireless USB dongle + USB dongle adapter, a type-A to C SpeedFlex cable, and the Mouse Grip tape. You will also find a product information guide and some Razer stickers.

Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Review – Design and Functionality

Let us see how Razer designed the mouse in this part of our Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Review. Then, we will also check its different functions.

The DeathAdder line from Razer has maintained a consistent aesthetic since its introduction. But with the V3 Pro, Razer is making a change.

The V3 Pro shed a remarkable 24g and is now 28% lighter than its predecessor at 64g. Although it is not the most lightweight gaming mouse on the market, it still ranks among the light mice.

It is still user-friendly for right-handed people but has reduced left and right clicker flares. Plus, it features a rounded right-hand curve. This design allows your thumb to access the two extra buttons with any flex.

The form of this mouse has undergone some minor tweaks to enhance its ergonomics. These improvements include moving the hump to the left for a natural posture and raising the hump for palm support. It has a raised scroll wheel and thumb buttons with higher positioning for easier access.

Also, the mouse features a matte, textured finish that allows for a perfect grip while making it easy to clean. If you want something grippier, the company included a self-adhesive grip tape you can use.

This tape is made from anti-slip polyurethane and is pre-cut for the V3 Pro. Also, it is easy to remove/apply or even reposition if needed.

For the first time, the buttons are undetectable. Razer was able to adjust the feel of its integrated 3rd Gen Optical Mouse Switches. The company did this by releasing them from the flex of the mouse shell.

On the left side, the rounded-off shape is still present. Here, Razer kept the big, satisfyingly clicky side buttons, which have lots of room for the thumbs.

The base of the mouse features a power button that also works as a DPI switch. There are also three PTFE feet available. There is no space to keep the 2.4GHz wireless USB-A dongle, but we do not think this is necessary.

You will not need to keep the dongle often since it is the only way to utilise wireless connectivity. So you will need to have it on hand most of the time.

Hands-on with the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Wireless Mouse

We tested the mouse for our Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro Wireless Mouse Review. But before we share our hands-on experience with it, let us discuss Synapse 3.

Although the V3 Pro already works excellently out of the box, you can calibrate some settings via the Synapse software.

Razer Synapse 3 allows the adjustment of its lift-off distance, DPI, and sensitivity. Plus, it has an option for remapping buttons. You can use the HyperShift shortcut to access extra bindings and buttons.

With the simple interface, using the app was easy. It did not require a deep learning curve since the software suite made all settings easy to find.

We used the V3 Pro to test its capacity and efficiency. In all the tasks we performed, we did not find any faults or issues with the sensors and switches.

The 3rd gen Razer Optical Switches offered more tactile clicks. It has a life cycle rating of 90 million clicks, which is longer than usual.

Although we cannot prove this within our testing period, we can confirm that they are snappy. Pressing the buttons also required minimal effort.

We were also impressed by the Focus Pro 30K optical sensor, which was fast and accurate. Its acceleration and speed made it excellent for all the games we played. With its lightweight body, we executed moves and commands flawlessly and accurately.

The feet of the mouse were among the impressive parts of the product. They allowed for faster, smoother, and more convenient moves on most surfaces.

We did not experience lags or performance issues even when we used it for productivity tasks. The side buttons were convenient features that allowed us to program common shortcuts we often used for working.
