Razer DeathAdder V3 Review – Design and Functionality

Let us continue our Razer DeathAdder V3 Review and discuss its design and functions. Of course, the first thing we will focus on is the wire.

People may think Razer went slightly behind on the mouse design since wired products are so ’90s. The thing here is some people still appreciate wired gaming mice. Plus, it is a necessary addition for this product to get its 8K polling rate.

Despite its wired design, the V3 has a lightweight cable with great flexibility. As a result, it feels like a wireless mouse.

Aside from its wire, another distinguishing factor of the mouse is its coating. Unlike the wireless version, the V3 has a super-smooth coat that gives off a shine on its surface. Although smooth, it gives a good grip and does not pick up fingerprints.

The product also has a slight plastic feel, but there is nothing cheap about the V3. Plus, it has a shine to its body, giving it a premium look and feel.

All the buttons on the V3 offer good clicks, and none of these feels mushy.

Key Features of the Razer DeathAdder V3

Our Razer DeathAdder V3 Review will share a list of features that make this product an excellent option. These will help you decide if the mouse is ideal for your system and build.

V3 for the Pro

The mouse is refined with top-notch elements and created with the help of the eSports pros. That means victory is yours thanks to its ergonomic form that is lighter than its siblings.

The V3 also has cutting-edge upgrades to push your limits during competitive gameplay.

8K Hz HyperPolling Tech

Stay wired for outstanding performance while experiencing the unparalleled responsiveness of a mouse. It can send up to eight times more data in seconds to decrease input delays from 1-1/8ms. This feature is the edge every gamer needs to stay ahead of the game.

Natural Evolution of Excellence

Enjoy gaming without hassles and issues with its ultra-lightweight design and ergonomic form.

The V3 only weighs 59g giving it perfect weight optimisation. It is also dubbed one of the lightest ergonomic gaming mice ever created. Moreover, it even features a split-key cover for enhanced click tactility.

Packed with Industry-leading Tech Elements

The V3 integrates max acceleration of 70g, 750 IPS, 30000 DPI, and 99.8% resolution accuracy. It also features Smart functions like intelligent tracking, asymmetric cut-off, and motion sync.

Ultra-fine Adjustments at Your Disposal

The asymmetric cut-offs are present to set a landing distance and lift-off tuned from your play style. In addition, you can choose from 26 granular height adjustment levels, unlike only three options from earlier versions.

This mouse also uses Smart Tracking, which allows the Focus Pro Optical Sensor to maintain consistency in its lift-off distance. This technology offers better control and accuracy when using the mouse on any surface.

Another feature of the Focus Pro Optical Sensor is the Motion Sync. It syncs signals in precise intervals as your computer extracts information to register your mouse position for consistent tracking.

Smooth and Sleek Finish

The V3 has a new finish that is smooth, soft, and sleek. It remains convenient on the grip for non-stop and comfortable gaming sessions.

Gen3 Optical Mouse Switches from Razer

Get a 90-million-click lifestyle without double-clicking concerns. Plus, it also provides you with a notable 0.2ms actuation.

The Speedflex Cable from Razer

We appreciate the inclusion of a Speedlex Cable since it provides top-notch flexibility. This element also helps produce minimal drag for better use.

Programmable Controls

The V3 has fully-configurable buttons for shortcuts and macros, including the ability to switch between five DPI stages.

Excellent On-board Memory

The V3 can save up to five profiles, including the last used Razer Synapse profile. These include each calibrated setting, like the polling rate, DPI, and lift-off distance.

Hypershift from Razer

This feature lets you efficiently execute twice the inputs with a touch of a button. Do this as you activate an extra set of customised keybinds and DPI stages on the V3.

Ergonomic Design Developed by Professionals

Razer developed the iconic shape of the DeathAdder V3 with top eSports professionals. They further improved its design to continue its legacy of award-winning ergonomics that provides excellent handling and comfort.

Hands-on with the Razer DeathAdder V3

We tested the wired gaming mouse for our Razer DeathAdder V3 Review to see how well it performs. This part of our review will help determine if this product is right for you. But before discussing its performance, we will focus on its software, Razer Synapse 3.

Razer Synapse 3 is the software utility for configuring all Razer products, including the DeathAdder V3. Download and install this program on Windows to access various settings, including macros, button mappings, etc.

This software has significantly improved since the last time we used it. Keeping it running while using the mouse is also unnecessary, which we appreciate.

It has a simple interface with a green, black, and dark grey colour scheme representing its company branding. The topmost row has several tabs, including Synapse, Keyboard, Mouse, Profiles, and Connect. We clicked on the Mouse section to access the settings for the DeatAdder V3.

Under the Mouse tab, you will find the three tabs: Performance, Customise, and Calibration.

The Performance tab shows the sensitivity and polling rate adjustment settings. Razer Synapse 3 allows setting different sensitivity levels for each DPI stage.

It also has numerous options for the polling rate. But note that the available frequencies will depend on its connection type and operating system.

In Customise, you can map the function of each button on the DeathAdder V3.

Finally, you can enhance the accuracy of your mouse in the Calibration tab. The DeathAdder V3 already offers immensely accurate tracking. But if you want to perform better in-game, it is best to fine-tune your mouse in this tab.

We enjoyed using this product when we tested it for our Razer DeathAdder V3 Review. As expected from a wired gaming mouse, it performed excellently with zero latency. In addition, its responsiveness and accuracy were ideal for tactical shooters.

While testing the product, we could feel the difference between 4k and 8k polling rates. We recognised these immediately when we played tracking-heavy games. Based on our experience, these high polling rates can give you an advantage in games.
