Will this product meet or exceed our expectations? We tested the product to find out, so read our ASUS ROG Delta II Review to learn more.

ASUS ROG Delta II Review – Design and Functionality

The ROG Delta II is a tri-mode wireless gaming headset that works across many devices. This feature lets you connect to two gadgets simultaneously. The tri-mode connection seamlessly worked when we tested it for our ASUS ROG Delta II Review.

This headset uses 50mm titanium-plated drivers to deliver premium audio, while the detachable mic ensures adequate volume and clarity. It also has Aura RGB lighting to offer the unique ROG flair.

Comfort is one of the best aspects of the Delta II. The earcups have memory foam cushions in pleather or breathable fabric, allowing you to choose which fits better. Aside from the comfortable material, the adequately sized earcups prevent pressure on the ears.

The headset retains the ROG aesthetic, featuring triangular earcups and attractive RGB strips. The anodised metal arms holding the earcups feature the Republic of Gamers branding, adding a premium touch to its appearance.

Thanks to its intuitive controls, we had an enjoyable experience during our testing for this ASUS ROG Delta II Review. The right earcup houses the multi-function Bluetooth and a dedicated volume dial for Bluetooth.

More controls are on the left earcup, including the 2.4GHz power toggle, another volume dial, and a multi-function switch. The volume dial also mutes the microphone when pressed.

Microphone

ASUS equipped the ROG Delta II with a 10mm unidirectional microphone. It is detachable and also connects via a 3.5mm jack. The microphone has a designated status LED indicating if it is on mute.

Key Features of the ASUS ROG Delta II

What makes this new Delta headset better than its predecessor? Our ASUS ROG Delta II Review will discuss each feature to help you determine if you need this updated version.

Revolutionary Gaming Immersion

The ROG Delta II features tri-mode connectivity. Its ultra-low latency 2.4 GHz offers excellent experiences for competitive gaming. It has 50mm diaphragm drivers with titanium plating for authentic and balanced sound to enhance your listening experiences.

This headset also has a 10mm ultra-wideband boom microphone that guarantees clarity even in the most intense gaming marathons.

DualFlow Audio Technology

DualFlow Audio technology enables listening to two connected sources simultaneously. You can also press a button on the earcup to answer mobile calls without missing a beat from your music.

Sturdy and Durable Diaphragm Driver (Titanium-Plated)

The product integrates a titanium-plated diaphragm driver that provides detailed and crisp treble. The feature also helps lessen instances of distortion to produce true-to-life sounds.

Intuitive Controls

The ROG Delta II has dedicated scroll wheels on each earcup to adjust the volume independently from each source. You can also answer calls while gaming by pressing the designated button.

10 mm Super-Wideband Boom Microphone for Clear Communication

The advanced detachable boom microphone covers a broad frequency range to capture your voice and its nuances. It prevents peaks and distortion for a natural voice with excellent clarity.

This microphone exceeds the average standard Microsoft Teams score of 3.9 in a call quality test, ensuring high-quality voice communication. It earned an impressive MOS-LQO3 score of 4.2.

Unparalleled Comfort

As mentioned in our ASUS ROG Delta II Review, the best thing about this headset is its comfort. It weighs only 318g, and ASUS includes two types of ear cushions in the box. The unique D-shaped earcups offer a snug fit without applying excessive pressure while providing a stylish look.

SpeedNova Wireless Technology

ROG SpeedNova Wireless technology optimises the 2.4GHz band to minimise latency and offer robust connectivity and energy efficiency. It ensures perfectly synced audio and visuals by cutting through signal jams and scanning available frequencies for optimised connections.

Lower Power Consumption

Aside from seamless and reliable wireless connectivity, it uses energy efficiently, allowing the headset to last long. It can last 110 hours in 2.4GHz mode without RGB lighting and 24 hours with activated RGB. When using Bluetooth, it can last up to 140 hours and 27 hours, respectively.

With fast charging support, a 15-minute charge provides 11 hours of power.

Hands-on with the ASUS ROG Delta II

We tested the headset to share our experience in this ASUS ROG Delta II Review. Before we discuss its performance and audio quality, let us focus on the Armoury Crate software.

Armoury Crate is the companion software of many ROG devices. It has all the settings you can adjust to maximise the features of the ROG Delta II.

This software has six main menus, including the Audio section, which is the most essential. It offers numerous presets and an equaliser. Aside from the sound, you can tweak other settings like the RGB lighting setup, microphone features, and more.

The audio of this headset made our gaming experiences enjoyable during our tests for this ASUS ROG Delta II Review. It offered an adequate bass boost for games and movies since the low-end rumble was intense and satisfying.

Despite the intensity of the lows, it was not overpowering. While there was depth, it retained balance and did not drown the overall sound.

The mid-range of the ROG Delta II was the smoothest among all the gaming headsets we tested. Although there were minimal humps and kinks between 500 to 1000 Hz, it was clean with excellent clarity. Also, the elevated upper mid-range offered more prominence and texture, enhancing the entire sound profile.

The treble was sparkly but not thin, complementing the bass to achieve balance. This combined frequency tuning delivered sufficient detail and a sonic feel. Its audio did not unleash all the details and nuances like audiophile headphones do, but it was not lacking.

The frequency balance between its different connectivity modes was identical. The only noticeable differences were due to dynamic constraints. Bluetooth connection offered more compressed audio than 2.4GHz, while the direct 3.5mm is the most dynamic.
